eMTBs are designed to quickly ride up and down hills and to have fun doing so. The HX 1700 SPLINE high-end aluminium wheels are the ideal partner for this. Based on many years of experience in the development of eMTB components and targeted testing, DT Swiss has revised these wheels so that they meet the increased requirements of modern e-mountain biking. The revised 350 hub has a larger hub body, which allows for better braking and drive torque and leads to greater robustness.

Tubeless Technology

Tubeless tires offer some significant advantages over the conventional combination of tire and tube. The tire can be run at lower pressures without risking "snakebites", thus providing more grip. The lower pressure also provides a more comfortable ride. The absence of the tube means that there is no friction between the tube and the tire, and therefore less rolling resistance when riding off-road and over obstacles.

Pro Lock technology

DT Pro Lock spoke nipples prevent the spoke-nipple connection from loosening on its own. A patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, which allows the construction of extremely durable wheels. As soon as the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and then hardens completely. Repeated re-centering is easily possible, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.

Ratchet Technology

Ratchet System hubs are unique in that all the teeth of the two discs engage simultaneously each time. In the case of ratchet hubs, the area of engagement is quite small. In the case of the Ratchet System, however, the entire face surfaces engage with each other, resulting in a much smaller point load. The result is the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs.
